Bureau Veritas is seeking a technically minded administrator to support our Building Control team working alongside Registered Building Inspectors and technical specialists on a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential projects across the UK.
This is more than a traditional administration a key part in the Building Control process ensuring projectsremaincompliant statutory notices are issued correctly inspections are coordinated efficiently and clients receive an exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.
Whatyoullbe doing
Setting up and administering Building Control projects from appointment through to completion and certification
Managing Building Regulation applications statutory notices initial notices plans certificates and final certificates
Coordinating site inspections andmaintainingaccurateproject records
Liaising with clients architects developers contractorsdesignersand local authorities
Preparing fee proposals technicalcorrespondenceand project documentation
Monitoring project progress and supporting surveyors with compliance and administrative requirements
Producing reports and management information to support operational performance
Maintaining Building Control databases and document management systems
Supporting invoicing contractadministrationand commercial processes
Ensuring documentation is completed accurately and in line with Building Safety Act and Building Control requirements
Whatwerelooking for
Essential
Previousexperience in a Building Control construction engineeringsurveyingor technical administration environment
Strong understanding of the Building Control process and associated project documentation
Experience coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications
Highly Desirable
Previousexperience supporting a Building Control Approved Inspector or Registered Building Control Approver
Experience administering Building Regulation applications and statutory notices
Knowledge of Building Safety Act requirements and current Building Control processes
Experience usingDeltekor similar project management systems
Construction industry experience working with architects developersengineersor contractors
