What will you do
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Systems Installer & Commissioning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing highly complex system field devices as well as commissioning validating and troubleshooting building control systems using standard configuration and commissioning tools. You will serve as a key point of contact between JCI contractors and customers ensuring seamless job progress and issue resolution. This role also involves providing basic warranty support and assisting in owner/operator training for total building control systems.
- Install and commission highly complex required system field devices on site using standard configuration and commissioning tools.
- Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve issues encountered during installation commissioning or operation.
- Respond promptly and professionally to basic warranty calls to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate job progress and technical issues to JCI contractors and customers as needed.
- Assist in the validation and documentation of complete system functionality.
- Support the delivery of site-specific training to owners/operators on the total building control system.
- Adhere to all safety regulations company policies and project requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and provide detailed service reports.
What we look For
- University degree with a minimum of 1 year relevant experienceOR
- 2-year technical degree with a minimum of 6 years relevant experienceOR
- Equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Knowledge of building control systems and field devices installation/commissioning highly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Possess a valid drivers license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
- Experience with Johnson Controls International (JCI) systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of HVAC electrical or other building automation systems.
- Experience in conducting technical training.
