As a member of the Corporate Accounting Team the Finance Intern is an everyday partner of multiple departments at the Corporate and Casino level including: Marketing Finance IT Human Resources and Property Leadership.
Current college students graduate students or recent graduates are sought for a summer paid internship. Applicants will be considered for finance and accounting roles.
This position is in office located in Las Vegas Nevada.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process invoices daily ensuring accurate coding approvals and compliance with purchasing and receiving policies.
Assist AP specialists in reviewing vendor statements when necessary and identify/resolve discrepancies and past-due items.
Match purchase orders receivers and invoices via the 3 way match process and investigating discrepancies and collaborating with AP specialists to resolve issues
Verify accuracy of GL accounts departments and invoice details prior to posting.
Maintain clean and timely invoice workflow in AP automation systems and ERP platforms.
Support month-end closing tasks including assistance in preparation of GL entries and recording invoices as part of AP close.
Attend required training adopt new systems and provide feedback to help improve workflows and strengthen AP operations.
Maximize productivity identify problem areas and assist in finding and implementing solutions
Attend meetings/training as required by management
Perform other duties as requested by management
Education and Experience:
Enrolled college or graduate student preferably in Finance or Accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
General understanding of financial reporting
Strong problem solving skills.
Fast learner of business programs and concepts
Can-do attitude.
Enthusiastic to apply aptitude to new learning experiences.
Approaches challenges as learning opportunities not obstacles to success.
