Summary of Job:
The Warehouse Specialist - Finished Goods plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products within a solar manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for receiving storing organizing and distributing materials components and finished products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Must-have/Required skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required
2 years of warehouse or logistics experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to receive inspect and verify incoming shipments against packing slips or purchase orders
Ability to accurately label and store materials while maintaining inventory records
Ability to conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation
Ability to prepare materials and products for shipment including picking packing labeling and palletizing
Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts pallet jacks and material-handling machinery safely and efficiently
Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
Ability to coordinate with production procurement and logistics teams
Ability to follow company policies OSHA regulations and safety guidelines
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures dust and noise levels
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
Nice-to-have skills:
Additional certifications in logistics supply chain or warehouse management are a plus
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience supporting shipping and distribution operations
Experience participating in safety training and emergency response drills
Key responsibilities and duties:
Receive inspect and verify incoming shipments against packing slips or purchase orders.
Accurately label and store materials in designated locations while maintaining clear and orderly inventory records.
Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation to minimize discrepancies.
Prepare materials and products for shipment including picking packing labeling and palletizing.
Collaborate with the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods to customers or distribution centers.
Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts pallet jacks and other material-handling machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse adhering to safety and environmental standards.
Coordinate with production procurement and logistics teams to ensure material availability and timely delivery to support manufacturing schedules.
Report damaged or defective materials to the appropriate department for resolution.
Follow company policies OSHA regulations and safety guidelines to create a secure work environment.
Participate in safety training and emergency response drills.
Support the efficient flow of materials and products within the manufacturing facility.
