Position: SRE - DevOps Engineer (Java)

Location: Woonsocket RI (Onsite) Relocation will work Contract: 12 Months Contract

Job Description:

Were looking for an experienced SRE DevOps Engineer with strong Java programming skills to join our team in Woonsocket RI. If youre passionate about automation cloud technologies Kubernetes and building highly reliable scalable systems wed love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
Support and enhance microservices-based applications in cloud and hybrid environments.
Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes OpenShift Docker and Rancher.
Develop proactive monitoring dashboards and alerting strategies.
Define and maintain SLOs SLAs and error budgets.
Lead production incident response root cause analysis and postmortems.
Improve application performance reliability and deployment efficiency.
Partner with development teams to implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices.
Support mission-critical retail and pharmacy applications across distributed environments.

Required Skills

5 years of experience in SRE DevOps or related roles
3 years supporting large-scale highly available cloud-native environments
Strong Java programming experience
Oracle Database proficiency
Hands-on experience with AWS Azure or GCP
Docker Kubernetes OpenShift Rancher
CI/CD using Jenkins GitHub or Bitbucket
Observability tools: Splunk Dynatrace Datadog Prometheus Grafana
Scripting and automation (Bash Python or similar)
Experience with REST/Web APIs and microservices architecture
