Bachelor or Associates Degree in Computer Science Telecommunications or related field or equivalent experience in a network engineering field
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience required
Strong understanding of BGP and ISIS routing protocols
Good understanding of Transport technologies
Knowledge of the OSI reference model
Core competencies include interpersonal communications (written & verbal) and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple commitments simultaneously
Ability to plan for work during network maintenance windows and the willingness to perform shift work
Proven ability to work independently and escalate issues appropriately
