Trajectory GNC/6DOF experience along with simulation software exp

Multiple compensation options are available including salary with employer sharing some benefits costs (health dental vision) to hourly consultant options. Salaries start at 130k and will increase based on exp. Consultant hourly rates will start at 75hr and increase based on experience.

This position will work on a flight software Development and Analysis Team which provides software development and analytic support for a variety of spacecraft and commercial programs using the Flight Mechanics Simulation selected applicant will:
Qualifications Typically requires a bachelors degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Aerospace Engineering degree is highly preferred.

Description:
This position will work on a flight software Development and Analysis Team which provides software development and analytic support for a variety of spacecraft and commercial programs using the Flight Mechanics Simulation selected applicant will:
- Provide software development and scripting of NASAs Genesis Flight Mechanics Simulation tool and related applications.
- Design and execute analyses to compare the performance of different guidance algorithms.
- Demonstrate the use of Core Flight Systems (cFS) in Genesis
- Develop integrate and test new algorithms for evaluation of vehicle and mission performance.
- Integrate Genesis with Core Flight Systems and other trajectory software and tools.
- Develop requirements documentation for mission design products.
- Provide recommendations for improvements in design and software development processes.
- Perform other duties as required.

- Experience with orbital mechanics and designing spacecraft trajectories.
- Experience with the development of spacecraft mission design algorithms.
- Experience analyzing spacecraft performance.
- Experience with 6-DOF spacecraft simulations.
- Proficiency in C Python and Linux
- Experience in product delivery utilizing source code management tools such as Git/GitLab
- Experience developing verifying and validating simulation models.
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work in a team environment consisting of spacecraftcivil servants and contractor employees.
- Strong interpersonal skills to enable successful performance in a collaborative engineering team.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision.
- Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
