Raytheon Space and Air division in El Segundo CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer Embedded / Radar to be part of their product development teams for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group.

What you will do:

• Work on complex technical problems and provide highly innovative solutions.
• Effectively contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle including SW/HW integration
• Develop RT embedded SW specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities.
• Utilize strong investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
• Work effectively with team across multiple disciplines internal and external
• Effectively contribute to program and customer meetings/reviews
• Support the program leads as needed regarding technical decision making problem resolution.
• Perform technical leadership roles for at least one key tasks or line item on programs
• Mentor at least one other engineer on programs in areas of knowledge and expertise
• Help to ensure performance to technical cost schedule quality.
• Support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis as needed.
• Must be able to obtain special access programs (SAP/SAR) for continuation of employment.
• Work Location: Onsite at our El Segundo CA Campus

Qualifications you must have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of5 years of prior relevant experience.

• Development experience coding in C/C/ADA or related languages/tools across phases of SDLC.

• Experience working on UNIX Linux Windows VxWorks or other RTOS.

• Experience working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Current DoD Secret and Top Secret Clearance
• Experience developing Radar Software applications
• Direct experience with Agile methodologies.
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.
• Experience with large complex systems such as airborne radars.

  The salary range for this role is 95500 USD - 181700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
