Job Summary

The Purchasing Assistant at Alias Group will play a crucial role in the smooth day-to-day running of the company. The successful candidate will handle all aspects of purchases within the organization under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager. Utilizing strong attention to detail the Purchasing Assistant will manage purchase orders and oversee the procurement of goods and services required for the business.

Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Purchasing Manager in the procurement of goods and services
    • Initiate purchase orders and amendments for parts services and/or special tools; arrange submission and inspection of sample products as required
    • Conduct comprehensive market research on product pricing and availability
    • Manage relationships and negotiate with key suppliers to reduce costs
    • Maintain accurate records of purchases pricing and other important data
    • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers supply and price options
    • Develop plans for purchasing equipment services and supplies

Qualifications:

    • A degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a corporate environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and purchasing software
    • Strong negotiation communication and organizational skills
    • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities
    • Ability to multitask prioritize and manage time efficiently
