Job Title: Virtualization Engineer - Hybrid
Duration (Contract): 6 Months

Job Description:
As a Virtualization Engineer you will be responsible for designing implementing and managing enterprise virtualization environments to ensure high availability performance and scalability. You will serve as a subject matter expert across the VMware ecosystem while driving automation optimization and security initiatives to support critical infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design deploy and manage VMware vSphere clusters and ESXi host infrastructure
- Administer and optimize vCenter Server operations including templates and configurations
- Implement and support VMware vSAN for storage management and performance optimization
- Architect and maintain VMware NSX-T for networking and security including segmentation strategies
- Manage virtualization lifecycle operations such as upgrades patching and compliance
- Develop automation solutions using PowerCLI and other orchestration tools
- Monitor system performance and conduct root cause analysis for issue resolution
- Implement and maintain virtualization security controls and compliance standards
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to deliver integrated compute storage and network solutions
- Maintain documentation standard operating procedures and disaster recovery plans
- Provide technical mentorship and support for ongoing operations
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
- Extensive hands-on experience with VMware vSphere ESXi and vCenter in enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in VMware technologies such as vSAN NSX-T VMware Cloud Foundation or similar platforms
- Proficiency with PowerShell and PowerCLI for automation and scripting
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure including compute storage and networking
- Experience with performance tuning capacity planning and lifecycle management
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage complex infrastructure environments
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional technical teams
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $70.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
