We are looking for a results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to lead initiatives that establish and sustain a stable efficient production flow. This role focuses on applying Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies while developing and optimizing machines and equipment for the production floor. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with hands-on problem-solving and process improvement skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of stable production flows using Lean principles and CI tools.
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for waste reduction efficiency improvements and cost savings.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Kaizen 5S Value Stream Mapping (VSM) root cause analysis and standard work.
  • Develop design and improve manufacturing equipment tooling and processes to support production requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production quality maintenance and engineering) to enhance operational performance.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and ensure production readiness.
  • Establish and maintain process documentation work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor production performance metrics (OEE yield downtime) and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and implement long-term corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety quality and environmental standards.
  • Train and mentor production staff on Lean tools and improved manufacturing practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Industrial Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in designing developing or modifying manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with production line optimization and process stabilization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) or equivalent.
  • Experience with automation industrial equipment or robotics.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for equipment design.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing KPIs such as OEE takt time cycle time and throughput.
  • Experience with PLCs or control systems is a plus.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $67000 - $95000 (Salary to be determined by the educationexperience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignmentwith market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take intoaccount volume and margin on a project quarterly and annual basis. This position includes acompetitive benefits package.
