Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Services Engineer to drive the design development and delivery of scalable customer-facing applications and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java Spring Boot microservices architecture cloud-native technologies and event-driven systems. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can collaborate with cross-functional teams mentor engineers and take full ownership of project delivery from design through production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design development and deployment of enterprise-grade applications and microservices.
• Architect and implement scalable resilient and high-performing distributed systems.
• Drive technical direction best practices and engineering standards across development teams.
• Collaborate with product owners architects and business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.
• Design and implement APIs event-driven services and integration solutions.
• Oversee application deployment strategies using containerization and orchestration platforms.
• Guide offshore and distributed teams to ensure timely project delivery and quality outcomes.
• Manage scope technical risks and delivery timelines while maintaining accountability for project success.
• Participate in code reviews architecture discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 7 years of software development and engineering experience.
• 2 years of experience in a technical leadership or lead engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience designing and building microservices-based architectures.
• Experience with Maven-based application development.
• Strong knowledge of Docker containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with GitOps practices and Argo CD.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience working with Couchbase or other NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of GraphQL and API design principles.
• Experience developing large-scale customer-facing distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts eventual consistency and asynchronous processing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within Agile environments and modern SDLC processes.
• Proven ability to take full ownership of project delivery and execution.
• Experience collaborating with offshore development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with reactive programming using WebFlux Project Reactor or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of API Gateway platforms such as Apigee.
• Experience with both NoSQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with stored procedure design and database optimization.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and technology partners.
• Exposure to web and mobile application development environments.
