About the role

This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement with an initial 3-month term and the potential for month-to-month extensions based on business needs and performance.

As a Lead Frontend/Full Stack Software Engineer you will provide technical leadership for the design development and delivery of modern web and mobile applications. You will lead frontend architecture using React React Native and TypeScript while collaborating with backend teams utilizing Java Spring Boot PostgreSQL and AWS.

This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can drive architecture decisions mentor engineers improve engineering practices and deliver scalable secure and high-performing solutions.

Location: This position is located at our Dublin OH campus with hybrid flexibility or may work remotely anywhere in the United States of America. Hybrid availability is preferred.

Engagement Details:

1099 independent contractor position.
Initial 3-month contract with potential extensions.
No company-sponsored benefits are offered with this position.
Contractors are responsible for their own taxes insurance and business expenses.
Must reside in the United States and be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
No C2C only direct employment of 1099 Contractor.

What youll do

Lead frontend and mobile application architecture using React React Native TypeScript and JavaScript.
Design and develop scalable responsive web and mobile applications.
Partner with backend engineers to define APIs integrations and data flows.
Drive architecture decisions focused on scalability performance security and maintainability.
Mentor engineers and promote software engineering best practices.
Champion code quality automated testing CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Collaborate with Product UX Architecture and Engineering teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.
Support production troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts.
All other duties as assigned.

What youll bring

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology Computer Science MIS CIS or a related field.
Experience: 8 years of software engineering experience.
Strong expertise with React React Native TypeScript and JavaScript.
Experience building scalable web and mobile applications.
Experience with Java Spring Boot REST APIs and backend systems.
Strong understanding of AWS cloud environments and modern application architecture.
Experience with PostgreSQL SQL Server or other relational databases.
Experience with responsive design accessibility performance optimization and component-based architecture.
Experience with design systems and UI frameworks such as Material UI or Ant Design.
Experience with automated testing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers.
Strong communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare health technology payer provider or other regulated industries.
Familiarity with HIPAA PHI and secure software development practices.
Experience with Progressive Web Applications (PWAs).
Experience evaluating build-versus-buy solutions and vendor technologies.
