What Youll Do

  • Diagnose troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical pneumatic PLC-controlled and automated manufacturing equipment using a systematic root-cause approach.
  • Troubleshoot PC/PLC sensors drives controls and other industrial systems with precision and efficiency.
  • Use electrical schematics technical documentation and hands-on diagnostic skills to identify problems and restore equipment to operation quickly.
  • Respond to equipment issues and minimize production downtime helping minimize disruptions and maintain plant productivity.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on welders cutting systems conveyors automated assembly equipment and other critical machinery.
  • Identify potential problems before they become costly breakdowns.
  • Partner with production engineering and leadership to improve equipment reliability safety and productivity.
  • Take ownership of problems from initial troubleshooting through repair and follow-up.

JOB DETAILS

2nd Shift 2:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What Youll Do:

Own Equipment Reliability and Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical pneumatic and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot PC/PLC-controlled equipment sensors drives and other industrial control systems.
  • Use electrical schematics technical documentation and hands-on diagnostic skills to identify root causes and restore equipment to operation.
  • Respond to equipment issues and production downtime with a sense of urgency helping minimize disruptions and maintain plant productivity.
  • Coordinate with OEM technical support and other resources when additional expertise is needed to complete complex repairs.
  • Take ownership of problems from initial diagnosis through repair follow-up and prevention of future failures.

Drive Preventive and Proactive Maintenance

  • Perform preventive maintenance on critical production equipment including welders cutting systems conveyors and automated assembly equipment.
  • Identify early signs of wear deterioration and potential equipment failure before they become larger production issues.
  • Help develop improve and execute preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that strengthen equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Look beyond the immediate repair to identify opportunities to prevent recurring problems.

Make an Impact on Plant Productivity

  • Work closely with production engineering and plant leadership to resolve equipment challenges and improve operational performance.
  • Bring forward ideas that improve equipment reliability safety maintainability and overall plant efficiency.

Maintain a Safe and Organized Workplace

  • Follow all company safety policies OSHA requirements and established maintenance procedures.
  • Apply lockout/tagout and other safe work practices consistently.

  • Help maintain an organized professional work environment where tools equipment and workspaces are kept to high standards.

 

Physical & Work Environment

This is a hands-on active manufacturing maintenance role and the physical nature of the work is an important part of the job. Technicians should be prepared to:

  • Stand walk bend climb and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Safely lift and handle materials tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work around operating equipment moving machinery and production activity.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment where noise levels and temperatures may vary depending on the area of the plant and the work being performed.

Qualifications :

      

What Youll Bring:

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment or equivalent experience in the installation setup and service of computer-controlled equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting knowledge in:
    • PLC and computer-controlled equipment
    • Industrial electrical and electronic systems
    • Pneumatic systems
    • Mechanical systems and machine repair
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics technical diagrams and equipment documentation.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently take ownership of assignments and collaborate effectively with a team.
  • A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous learning across electrical mechanical automation and safety disciplines.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Education Level

  • Journeyman Electrician License or Multi-skilled technician satisfied by demonstrated technical expertise in advanced maintenance functions
  • Advanced PC skills
  • Excellent communication time management organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage vital maintenance functions to maximize corporate assets.
  • Excellent troubleshooting reasoning and analytical problem-solving skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using CMMS or other computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Experience developing or improving preventive maintenance procedures and programs.
