Overall Purpose of the Job
Responsible for Expros engineering activities within a designated Engineering business area. Undertake general Engineering tasks as directed by Supervisor / Manager to enable the progress and completion of related projects.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Design develop and improve mechanical products and equipment.
- Perform engineering calculations tolerance analyses testing and troubleshooting activities.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings specifications and technical documentation.
- Manage engineering data and documentation within the Product Data Management (PDM) system.
- Support prototype builds testing and product validation activities.
- Coordinate with suppliers manufacturing and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Investigate and resolve engineering issues while supporting continuous product improvement.
- Provide technical support as required and perform other duties assigned.
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 37 years of engineering experience in a related industry.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks Inventor AutoCAD or similar).
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Understanding of mechanical design principles GD&T materials selection manufacturing processes and basic stress analysis.
- Valid drivers license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with oilfield or downhole equipment.
- Familiarity with API specifications and recommended practices.
- Experience with FEA software (ANSYS preferred).
- Engineering-In-Training (EIT) certification.
- Project coordination or leadership experience.
- Knowledge of heat treatment surface treatments thermoplastics elastomers and composites.
