Who Are We Looking For

Vestwell is expanding and were excited about adding a Coordinator to our Document Compliance Team (Retirement Services Division) who is passionate about our mission to change the retirement FinTech space. At a high level were looking for a dedicated coordinator to assist our Operations team to manage plan document drafting amendments restatements and plan setup. Prior experience supporting services for 401(k) and 403(b) plans is helpful but not required.

What Will You Be Doing

A key component of Vestwells mission to empower retirement savings includes bundled plan services and oversight. As a Coordinator on the Plan Documents Team you will work closely with our Onboarding Retirement Plan Administration Client Success and Employer Services Teams to assist with Plan Design review drafting plan documents and plan set up while consulting with teams on their operational considerations.

Day-to-Day You May Also Be Expected To:

• Provide Documents Compliance Team support - prepare plan documents including: discretionary and interim amendments restatements participant notices and related disclosures

• Project management support - assist with processes for large-scale document projects; and assure successful timely completion of each

• Support Team members by performing duties as assigned including support with process reviews research and documentation related to plan documents

• Team mentality and the ability to multitask while attending to a high volume of incoming inquiries
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office suite; Google Workspace; cloud-based client portals and internal network drives

The Extras

• Understanding of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) Department of Labor (DOL) Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations
• Knowledge of Application Programming Interface (API) functionality
• Professional experience with qualified plans
• Qualified 401(k) Specialist (QKS) or higher credential from ASPPA or equivalent career experience

This role will be based in either the New York City Austin King of Prussia or Scottsdale office and will be part of Vestwells hybrid in-office operation.

The expected base salary range for this position is $50K - $55K base. This position is eligible to participate in the Company Bonus Pool and is eligible to receive new hire equity in the Company. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired.

OUR PROCESS

Our interview process starts the same for every candidate with 1-2 introductory conversations to learn more about your background interests and what youre looking for while also giving you the opportunity to learn more about Vestwell and the team. From there the process varies by role but typically includes a skills or experience-based assessment such as a coding interview portfolio review or deeper discussion of your relevant experience. Successful candidates then move on to a virtual or in-person interview panel. Before extending an offer we complete a reference check with a current or former manager and a peer. Throughout the process we prioritize transparency clear communication and minimizing surprises.
