Summary Description:
To provide mathematics curriculum and instructional support to elementary school administrators elementary school teaching staff and the community.
Qualifications:
- Virginia postgraduate professional teaching license
- Masters Degree in curriculum and instruction administration and supervision or related field
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience at the elementary (K-5) level
- Administrative or supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working with all categories of employees and the public
- Extensive knowledge of best practices in mathematics
Essential Duties
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
- Demonstrates expertise and maintains competence in elementary level mathematics and tiered systems of support.
- Provides support and coaching to teachers coaches and administrators for the delivery of an effective instructional program.
- Facilitates the development and implementation of curriculum professional learning and instructional programs.
- Coordinates district-wide programs as assigned.
- Uses data to assess program efficacy and to drive instructional improvement.
- Monitors federal and state requirements and supervises the implementation of changes to curriculum or instructional programs.
- Researches and evaluates evidence-based practices to support instructional programs.
- Monitors and evaluates instructional programs and achievement of division objectives.
- Prepares reports on the effectiveness of efficiency of the instructional program.
- Assists with the recruiting and interviewing of instructional personnel.
- Other duties as assigned through the immediate supervisor.
Pay Rate:
The salary range is $93539-$154033
Contract:
Full time / 12 months / 245 days
Start Date:
This position is effectivewith the2026-2027 school year.
