CDL-A Truck Driver Entry Level Home Every 2 Weeks

Your first 90 days and beyond

Day 1: the call. A recruiter goes over your license and record with you before anything else so you know where you stand.

Days 23: orientation. Two days at most. Your hotel is paid for your bus ticket is paid back and once youre hired orientation pays $300.

Weeks 15: on the road with a mentor. Thats 200250 hours of training. You learn backing trip planning logs and fueling with an experienced driver beside you. Your pay is $650 a week the entire time.

Months 24: your own truck. You get an assigned tractor about 1.5 years old on average automatic or 10-speed. Your check has a floor of $1000 a week for your first three months solo.

After that: full miles. You run 1800 to 2900 miles a week of dry van freight east of Denver with no Northeast. Loads mix drop and hook preloads and live loads. You earn $15 per extra stop $75 plus miles on short hauls and a monthly bonus. Some weekends are on the road holidays are volunteer and youre home every two weeks.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old valid Class A CDL
• Recent CDL school grad or 6 months of recent experience
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
• Must pass a DOT physical and hair and urine testing
