Job Summary

South Jersey drivers: Northeast regional freight and 1900 miles a week unlocks weekends off.

Drop and hook in most cases no NYC boroughs and home time you can shape. New CDL grads ride with a paid mentor first.

What you earn

  • Paid every week during training
  • $1000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
  • $1300 to $2000 a week once solo
  • $0.55 a mile to start $0.01 a year up to $0.65
  • 1500 to 2800 miles a week

Your week

Regional lanes from Virginia up through the Northeast staying out of New York City. Mostly drop and hook some live loads and unloads. Home every two weeks for two full days.

What new drivers ask us

  • How often will I see home On 34-hour resets or every two weeks. Run 1900 miles in a week and your weekend is off.
  • Will one ticket disqualify me Not by itself. Up to 2 moving violations in the past 2 years is accepted.
  • Does my CDL school count If it was 120 hours or more yes.
  • I am not good at backing yet. Nobody is on day one. You practice for weeks with a mentor beside you before you drive alone.
  • What if my first solo weeks are slow You still get at least $1000 a week for your first 3 months solo.

What happens after you apply

A recruiter calls the same business day and goes over your license and record with you. Orientation takes 2 days at most; the hotel is covered your bus ticket is reimbursed and you get $300 for attending once hired. Then you ride 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor who coaches you on backing logs fueling and trip planning and you are paid every week while you learn. When you are ready you get your own assigned truck about 1.5 years old on average. For your first 3 months solo your pay will not drop below $1000 a week.

What you need

  • Class A CDL from your state of residence 21 or older
  • New CDL grad with 120 school hours or 6 months of recent experience
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
  • No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
  • DOT physical and hair and urine drug screen
