Loads stay in the eastern states so you are not chasing freight across the country. New grads train with a mentor first.

What you earn

• Paid every week during training
• $1000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
• About $1200 a week once solo
• $0.55 a mile to start $0.01 a year up to $0.65
• About 2500 miles a week
• $15 stop pay
• Weekly direct deposit

Your week

Eastern regional lanes drop and hook live loads and preloads. Out about two weeks then home.

From CDL school to your own truck

1. A recruiter calls you and reviews your CDL and driving record with you.
2. Orientation 2 days at most. Hotel paid one-way bus ticket reimbursed $300 for orientation once hired.
3. 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor: backing trip planning logs and fueling. You are paid every week.
4. Your own assigned truck about 1.5 years old on average automatic or 10-speed. For your first 3 months solo your pay will not drop below $1000 a week.

What you need

• Class A CDL from your state of residence 21 or older
• New CDL grad with 120 school hours or 6 months of recent experience
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
• DOT physical and hair and urine drug screen
