Category Sales Development Analyst

• Develop key sales reports to identify business opportunities gaps and key learnings

  • Create dashboards and standardized views of business performance for all levels of the organization

  • Synthesize information from various sources (syndicated data internal shipment data competitive intel etc.) and investigate anomalies to create business insight and formulate recommendations

  • Deliver and present data and findings in a meaningful format to organization/partners in support of current business initiatives and projects

  • Partner with key stakeholders to apply reporting insights and recommendations toward future business needs and opportunities

  • Build knowledge base in managing reporting platforms to ensure data integrity

  • Stimulate continuous enhancement of analytical framework and sales reporting tools and deliverables

  • Answer ad-hoc questions and provide ad-hoc reporting related to business performance across all Retail products

  • Provide analytical support for retail sales teams for external customer presentations partnering with the Account Management Marketing Finance RGM and Category Leadership teams

• Provide ad-hoc data requests from Retail Sales systems for cross-functional teams

• Supports sales training activities including onboarding new hires Potato 101 and product knowledge and business unit-wide development needs in support of Retails functional competencies.

• Education: BA/BS degree required

• Experience: 3-5 years related experience in sales analytics

  • Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods specific experience preferred

  • Successful experience with data analysis including:

    • Experience in manipulating and syndicating data from a variety of sources

    • Experience in managing data accuracy for reporting

  • Comfortable learning new systems and ways of working within them as they are launched or evolved

• In-depth expertise in the use and applications across a variety of technologies and tools including Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis on Excel and Power BI) and third-party data sources (NIQ Circana SPINS)

• Ability to work with raw retailer data e.g. POS panel loyalty; space management software (Space Planning Blue Yonder) a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as organization and prioritization skills

• Ability to work cross-functionally with partners at various levels of the organization

• Critical-thinking and creative problem-solving ability

• Self-starter with the ability to function in a fast paced dynamic environment with a positive attitude

• Ability to travel independently up to 10% of the time.
