4 Hour Teacher Assistant- Long Term Sub

Long Term Substitute: September 28 - November 6 2026MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1. Associate Degree (preferred) or High School diploma.2. Demonstrate literacy skills necessary to work with teachers and students.3. Complete a training program approved by Rhode Island Department of Education within three months of employment or similar certification from another state.4. Requirements per No Child Left Behind.5. Knowledge of health safety and emergency procedures of the learning environment.6. Support teachers by participating in instructional opportunities.7. Support a learning environment that encourages appropriate standards of behavior and positive social interaction for students.8. Interact effectively with staff parents students and persons outside of the school system.9. Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.10. Demonstrate skills in computer literacy.11. Work with minimum supervision.12. Ability to adapt to unexpected interruptions of the daily work pattern.13. Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to team efforts and organizational efforts.14. Positive attitude.15. Successful interview.16. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Screening Committee may find appropriate.
