Role Summary

As a Senior Software Engineer youll be a key contributor in designing building and scaling core backend services. Youll work closely with Product Engineering and DevOps to ship mission-critical features for global enterprise customers. This is a high-impact role for a technically curious and independent engineer who thrives in a fast-paced agile startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend solutions using Django Rest Framework and PostgreSQL
• Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to deliver high-impact features
• Optimise code performance and reliability across microservices architecture using AWS Lambda
• Maintain strong testing coverage using Pytest and support CI/CD processes
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving engineering best practices
• Participate in code reviews architecture discussions and technical planning

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience & Expertise

• 5 years of backend engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Django Rest Framework PostgreSQL and AWS Lambda
• Experience with Pandas and OAuthlib or similar supporting libraries
• Prior exposure to fintech accounting automation or finance-related SaaS products is a big plus

Skills & Attributes

• Strong testing mindset with experience using Pytest
• Comfortable in a fast-paced collaborative remote environment
