Were looking for an experienced Identity & Access Principal Engineer to join our Technology team and play a key role in shaping and securing the platforms that support colleagues and branches across the Post Office network.
As a senior technical authority youll provide leadership across our identity and access management estate ensuring services are secure resilient scalable and aligned with business and security objectives. Working closely with Technology Cyber Security Architecture and key suppliers youll drive platform improvements and support the delivery of strategic technology initiatives.

- Significant experience in a senior infrastructure engineering platform engineering or technical specialist role within a large complex enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on expertise across Active Directory Entra ID Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) Conditional Access ADFS Microsoft PKI and PowerShell.
- Experience designing implementing and supporting enterprise identity and access management solutions.
- Experience producing and reviewing technical designs operational documentation and support models.
- Proven experience working with Cyber Security Architecture project delivery teams and managed service providers.
- Strong background in major incident management problem management and root cause analysis.
- Excellent technical judgement and the ability to act as a trusted technical authority.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent planning prioritisation and decision-making skills.
- A collaborative leadership style with a passion for coaching and developing others.
