Digby Wells Environmental a leading service provider to the resources industry is looking for an Environmental Intern to join our dynamic and fast-growing team in Tanzania Dar Es Salaam.
This structured 12-month graduate programme is designed to provide practical hands-on experience in environmental consulting. You will gain exposure to a wide range of projects while developing core technical project management and client engagement skills.

The Environmental Intern will support the team in:
- Assisting with the project management and administration of environmental legislative processes
- Maintaining awareness of applicable environmental legislation and its impact on projects
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality services and outputs
- Participating in marketing initiatives and supporting new business development
You will also gain exposure to and assist with:
- Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) in line with relevant legislation
- Environmental permitting and mining applications
- Stakeholder engagement and consultation processes
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary specialists
- Project budgeting and scheduling
- Liaising with clients and regulatory authorities
- Compiling and writing technical reports for clients and authorities
In addition you will:
- Perform general day-to-day office administration
- Assist with additional tasks as required within your field of expertise
- Degree in Environmental Science or a related field
- NEMC registration would be advantageous
- Foundational knowledge of environmental management and legislation
- Understanding of basic financial and project management principles
- Strong report writing ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to travel internationally
