Digby Wells Environmental a leading service provider to the resources industry is looking for an Environmental Intern to join our dynamic and fast-growing team in Tanzania Dar Es Salaam.

This structured 12-month graduate programme is designed to provide practical hands-on experience in environmental consulting. You will gain exposure to a wide range of projects while developing core technical project management and client engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

The Environmental Intern will support the team in:

  • Assisting with the project management and administration of environmental legislative processes
  • Maintaining awareness of applicable environmental legislation and its impact on projects
  • Supporting the delivery of high-quality services and outputs
  • Participating in marketing initiatives and supporting new business development

You will also gain exposure to and assist with:

  • Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) in line with relevant legislation
  • Environmental permitting and mining applications
  • Stakeholder engagement and consultation processes
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary specialists
  • Project budgeting and scheduling
  • Liaising with clients and regulatory authorities
  • Compiling and writing technical reports for clients and authorities

In addition you will:

  • Perform general day-to-day office administration
  • Assist with additional tasks as required within your field of expertise

Requirements
  • Degree in Environmental Science or a related field
  • NEMC registration would be advantageous
