Mechanical Design Engineer

JBT Marel is looking for aMechanical Engineerto join our engineering team inHelsingborg Sweden where advanced industrial food processing equipment is designed built and tested under one roof. This is a hands-on engineering role where your designs dont stay on a screen they become real machines on the shop floor.

Youll be part of a collaborative team of around35 engineers working closely with production testing and suppliers. If you enjoy customer-specific design technical problem-solving and taking ownership of your projects this is an environment where you can grow and make a tangible impact.

What youll be doing

• Lead mechanical design activities for both small and large customer projects
• Design and adapt large-scale industrial machinery to customer requirements using 3D CAD
• Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to engineering questions from customers and suppliers
• Drive product improvements and contribute to R&D and innovation initiatives
• Collaborate closely with engineering production testing and supplier teams
• Take ownership of project progress by proactively gathering information and coordinating internally
• Support continuous improvement across mechanical design standards and solutions

About you

Youre a practical solution-oriented engineer who enjoys seeing ideas turn into working equipment. Youre comfortable taking responsibility working independently when needed and collaborating across teams to move projects forward.

Experience & Education

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2 years of experience in mechanical design (industrial machinery sheet metal or automation are an advantage); wealsowelcome candidates with more senior experience who are looking to take on broader technical responsibility.
• Solid experience with 3D CAD (Creo and Windchill strongly preferred)
• Experience working in a production- or project-oriented engineering environment
• Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are an advantage
