Job Brief:
Wahed is seeking an experienced and driven GCC Head to spearhead the expansion and growth of our operations across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record of establishing and scaling businesses in new markets.This GCC Head position can be based in either Saudi Arabia or Qatar depending on the best fit for the company and the candidate.As the Senior Executive Officer for the GCC region this role will have responsibility for Waheds success and growth across all GCC markets. This role involves developing and executing regional strategies building highperforming teams and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders including regulators partners and customers. The GCC Head will play a crucial role in building Waheds presence and functionality from the ground up in the region ensuring alignment with our mission and values. This role reports directly to the Group CEO and Central Team driving communication and strategic alignment across the GCC.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive GCCwide strategic plan that aligns with Waheds overall objectives.
- Lead the expansion of Waheds operations into new GCC markets establishing a strong presence and building brand awareness.
- Drive growth by increasing market share expanding the customer base and identifying new revenue streams across the GCC region.
- Oversee and manage Waheds operations across the GCC region including frequent travel to Qatar UAE and Saudi Arabia to ensure effective leadership and coordination.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including regulators partners and industry experts in each GCC country.
- Oversee the launch of new products and features working closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure successful implementation across the region.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in the GCC.
- Build and manage highperforming teams across multiple departments and GCC countries providing leadership guidance and support to achieve business goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies across all GCC markets.
- Provide regular reports to the Csuite on the performance of the GCC operations including financial metrics customer acquisition and product usage.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in business finance or a related field; MBA or another advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in the financial services industry with a focus on fintech investment management or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling operations in new and existing markets ideally within the GCC region.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously across different countries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing teams across multiple functions and geographies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Understanding of local regulatory requirements and market dynamics in the financial services industry across the GCC.
- Experience working and leading a diverse team of professionals.
- Must be a GCC National.
- Must be willing to be based in either KSA or Qatar.
