About The Role

Were looking for a hands-on Cyber Security Engineer to join NOVs Security Architecture & Engineering team. Youll help secure NOV using our zero trust methodology designing and deploying technical controls automating protection at scale and supporting secure architecture across IT and OT environments.

What Youll Do

• Use AI/ML or LLM-based tools to accelerate detection enrich investigations and support real-time response automation
• Automate tasks using PowerShell Python or Bash to reduce manual workflows and improve enforcement
• Deploy and manage security tools or policies across identity cloud endpoint and network with platforms like Okta SentinelOne and Zscaler
• Implement and maintain security configurations in Azure AWS and hybrid environments aligned with Zero Trust and least privilege principles
• Participate in architecture and design reviews providing actionable security recommendations for new infrastructure applications or system changes
• Perform technical risk assessments using frameworks like NIST CSFto identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective compensating or administrative controls
• Review cloud network and firewall change requests for potential exposure or policy violations
• Research and evaluate emerging security threats tools and best practices helping shape NOVs defensive strategy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (cloud infrastructure identity OT) to embed security into project delivery and daily operations
• Other duties as assigned by organization leadership

What You Bring

• Possess strong communications and interpersonal skills in English
• Self-directed organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a large enterprise environment
• Experience in cybersecurity infrastructure or cloud security engineering
• Familiarity with identity and access platforms
• Proficient in scripting (PowerShell Python or Bash) for task automation or data handling
• Solid understanding of network security endpoint hardening and cloud-native controls
• Experience conducting technical risk assessments or design evaluations
• Exposure to AI-assisted security workflows or a desire to work with AI tooling

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: CISSP CompTIA Security GSEC CEH or similar
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or equivalent experience
