Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Greenwich Waldorf School is located alongside the green spaces of Greenwich and Blackheath in South East London. We are an independent school with a dynamic progressive and contemporary Waldorf curriculum for pupils aged 3-18.

Location: Woodlands 90 Mycenae Road London SE3 7SE

Contract: Fixed Term until 10th July 2026 with the potential to become permanent Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am 4pm

Salary: Depending on experience

Reports to: SENDCo

Job Summary

To support and where appropriate lead learning activities in a way that is developmentally appropriate relationship-led and aligned with Waldorf pedagogy ensuring continuity of learning strong pastoral care and inclusive provision.

The HLTA will deliver teacher-planned learning support pupils academic and emotional development and contribute to a safe calm and purposeful school environment. Although the HLTA may deliver lessons to whole classes this is not a teaching role. The HLTA works within the direction of the class teachers using their planning and does not hold responsibility for curriculum design or overall class outcomes.
