The Information Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all aspects of electronic student data information systems in support of the districts operational and educational goals.
REPORTS TO:
Director of Schools
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree with related job experience in a computer-related field preferred
Working knowledge of student information systems (currently Skyward) preferred
Ability to interpret and resolve data transmission errors for state reporting
Strong planning organizational and communication skills
Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to develop and implement user guides and technical resources
Ability to analyze and manage student and faculty data
CONTRACT:
240-day contract. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain expertise in the districts student data information system
Ensure quality and timely data entry and reporting for the Tennessee Department of
Education
Interpret and correct student data system errors especially for ADM and funding purposes
Manage district and school calendars in student information systems for TDOE reporting
Maintain faculty data and input for reporting and any school/parent communication
Create and manage the district-wide curriculum master; edit school-level courses
Support student scheduling and grade reporting ensuring accuracy for state reporting
Maintain proper student coding in the data system (ELL Pre-K AlternativeMilitary etc.)
Facilitate secure transmission of student data between vendors and stakeholders
Support student testing and accountability by ensuring clean data
Manage and maintain all student information system user accounts and security access
Assist staff in using student grade portals and related software tools
Monitor and ensure the integrity of custom forms and portals in the system
Develop and distribute data reports for internal use and compliance
Train district staff in the proper use of student information systems and create training documentation
Maintain compliance with district policies laws and data standards
Uphold a positive and professional image while supporting district initiatives
Regular and punctual attendance required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position may require light lifting up to 20 pounds and use of office equipment in a typical work environment.
