Job Summary
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors degree in a recognized mental health discipline (e.g. social work psychology education rehabilitation counseling nursing etc.).
- Masters degree preferred in a recognized mental health discipline (e.g. social work psychology education rehabilitation counseling nursing etc.).
Experience:
- Bachelors: At least 5 years of progressive supervisory responsibility in a human services setting.
- Masters: 13 years of progressive supervisory responsibility in a human services setting.
- Preference will be given to military veterans positions in Veterans Shelters
Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Work Location Requirement: Onsite
Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Monday-Friday
Compensation: $95481

About the Role
The Program Director has overall responsibility for the operations of the facility coordinating all aspects of the operations clinical components and interfaces with DHS. The Director would be responsible for the adherence to all DHS NYS and NYC regulations affecting shelter operation.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee program operations clinical services and regulatory compliance.
Supervise staff including Unit Counselors and Case Managers.
Ensure quality of services treatment planning and documentation.
Manage hiring performance evaluations scheduling and disciplinary actions.
Oversee program budget fiscal accountability and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with DHS NYS and NYC regulations.
Maintain facility safety property accountability and emergency procedures.
Promote community relations and partnerships with DHS and Veterans Administration.
Oversee quality assurance audits reporting and program evaluations.
Provide leadership in staff training supervision and program development.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
