About the Opportunity: We are working with Ontario government-operated institutional facilities to place CPO-registered Physiotherapists on long-term contract engagements across multiple Ontario regions. This is a meaningful opportunity for a physiotherapist who wants to do impactful work with the underserved populations in a structured institutional environment with competitive compensation.
What Youll Be Doing:
Conduct physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised goal-directed treatment plans for patients in institutional settings
Deliver hands-on physiotherapy treatment including exercise programming manual therapy and therapeutic modalities
Document assessments progress notes and clinical summaries in accordance with CPO standards and facility EMR systems
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team physicians nurses and support staff to ensure continuity of care
Apply trauma-informed equity-focused clinical frameworks when working with diverse and complex patient populations
Arrange qualified replacement coverage during planned absences and maintain all care standards
What Were Looking For Must Have:
Full registration in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO)
No active or pending disciplinary proceedings with CPO
Experience providing care to marginalised diverse or at-risk populations
Willingness to work in a secure structured institutional environment
Criminal record check required must be clear before assignment commencement
Ability to provide professional liability insurance documentation
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Nice to Have:
Prior correctional forensic or institutional physiotherapy experience
Experience with trauma-informed care models
Bilingual English/French capability
Experience with youth populations (ages 1217)
Familiarity with Ontario health legislation (PHIPA RHPA)
