Position Summary
The TIG Welder is responsible for fitting joining and repairing metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Work scheduled hours of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (subject to change based on production needs)
Perform welding duties using TIG welding equipment
Weld steel components based on layouts engineering drawings work orders or verbal instructions
Assist in welding multi-component parts
Operate forklifts hoists hand and power tools slings grinders and cutting torches as needed
Inspect and correct welds to meet product specifications
Read and interpret job orders blueprints and engineering drawings
Cross-train and support additional job functions as needed
Communicate with management regarding assignments quality concerns or production issues
Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment
Follow all safety procedures before and during operations

Qualifications
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
Ability to read tape measures and calipers
Forklift operation experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
Basic shop math skills including fraction-to-decimal conversion
Strong attention to quality and accuracy
Ability to adapt to change
Commitment to workplace safety
Reliable attendance
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to lift carry push and pull heavy materials
Frequent squatting kneeling bending twisting and reaching
Standing and walking for extended periods (up to 12 hours per day up to 6 days per week)
