Job Summary

The Teacher Instructional Literacy Coach will support high school teachers in strengthening literacy instruction improving student achievement and implementing rigorous standards aligned teaching practices.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide coaching and support to Language Arts teachers through modeling co-teaching classroom support and feedback
  • Support implementation of district English Language Arts curriculum aligned to state standards
  • Assist teachers with reading comprehension writing instruction vocabulary and literacy strategies
  • Analyze studentassessment data to guide instructional improvement
  • Facilitate professional development PLCs common planning and data meetings
  • Support tutoring intervention acceleration and graduation readiness programs
  • Assist teachers with pacing lesson planning and differentiation strategies
  • Promote student engagment and achivement in literacy
