The Teacher Instructional Literacy Coach will support high school teachers in strengthening literacy instruction improving student achievement and implementing rigorous standards aligned teaching practices.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide coaching and support to Language Arts teachers through modeling co-teaching classroom support and feedback
Support implementation of district English Language Arts curriculum aligned to state standards
Assist teachers with reading comprehension writing instruction vocabulary and literacy strategies
Analyze studentassessment data to guide instructional improvement
Facilitate professional development PLCs common planning and data meetings
Support tutoring intervention acceleration and graduation readiness programs
Assist teachers with pacing lesson planning and differentiation strategies
Promote student engagment and achivement in literacy
Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
