Our Engineering team builds the technology that powers Nooms mission from consumer-facing health products to the B2B infrastructure that enables enterprise partnerships at scale. We move fast build with purpose and tackle complex backend challenges that directly shape how Noom community of users and partners.

About the Role

Our AI Team is looking for a mid-level Backend this role youll own meaningful backend engineering work writing clean scalable code collaborating with senior engineers and stakeholders and contributing to GenAI-adjacent initiatives that extend what were already building. This is an IC-first hands-on role: youll spend the majority of your time doing the engineering work with coordination across teams both local and international.

You Will

• Deliver backend engineering work across Nooms product and Agentic/AI initiativesd
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering product and healthcare teams to execute on defined scope and priorities
• Write and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and/or Kotlin that support Nooms community of users
• Help continuously improve how the engineering team operates

About You

You Have

• 35 years of backend engineering experience with a strong command of Java Kotlin or similar languages
• Solid engineering fundamentals; you write clean well-structured code and can take ownership of meaningful technical scope
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to understand requirements and deliver against business priorities
• A pragmatic adaptable mindset; you can navigate ambiguity and move fluidly across engineering projects without losing momentum

The base salary range for this position is $129000$152000. Actual compensation is determined by job-related factors including experience skills qualifications and location.

This role is based in our Princeton office with a hybrid schedule (2 days per week on-site).
