Job Summary

Wanna join the adventure

As a Frontend Engineer at Loft you will work on a range of projects including refining the UI of Cockpit our satellite operations software and empowering end-users with powerful satellite management capabilities. Youll collaborate with peers on the Frontend Engineering team as well as interface with the wider Software team.

About this role:

Building and refining tools for satellite operations and autopilot observability
Developing and maintaining our web applications and services
Collaborating on UI/UX design to enhance user experience (no need to be a designer just care about good UX)
Integrating with backend services using GraphQL APIs
Supporting internal teams in using our ground software (Cockpit)
Getting hands-on with satellite operationseveryone at Loft plays a role in mission success!
Tech stack:
- Frontend: TypeScript HTML CSS
- APIs: GraphQL
- Bonus: Web Components (Lit)

Must Haves:

Strong proficiency in TypeScript / HTML / CSS
Experience with Vue or React
Experience working on SPAs
Experience with GraphQL APIs
Experience with Testing (Unit and integration testing (e.g. Vitest Jest Cypress

Nice to Haves:

Experience with Web Components
Experience with Mapping/Geospatial Libraries e.g. Leaflet Mapbox or CesiumJS (could be useful for visualizing satellite data)
Interest in Space or Aerospace No prior experience is required but enthusiasm for space technology is a bonus!
UI/UX sensibility (no need to be a designer just to care about that)

$130000 - $180000 a year

State law requires us to tell you the base compensation range for this role which is $140000- $190000 per year. This is determined by your education experience knowledge skills and abilities. The salary range for this role is intentionally wide as we evaluate individuals based on their unique experience and abilities to fit our needs. We integrate launch and operate spacecraft offering end-to-end missions as a service across Earth observation IoT connectivity on-orbit AI national security missions and more. Leveraging our existing space infrastructure and an extensive inventory of satellite buses Loft is reducing years-long integration and launch timelines to months.
