This role is ideal for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with 3 years of experience in Creo ANSYS/FEA GD&T structures and full vehicle integration. The ideal candidate brings strong CAD design analytical problem-solving technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration skills in an automotive aerospace or advanced vehicle environment.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop vehicle systems structural components and mechanical assemblies
Create 3D parametric CAD models and component packaging layouts using Creo
Perform linear static FEA using ANSYS to optimize design performance and structural integrity
Generate technical drawings detailing packages and GD&T documentation per ASME Y14.5
Develop and execute DVP&R test plans validation methods and reporting
Support system physics modeling characterization and design verification
Prepare technical specifications engineering reports and project status updates
Support prototype builds technicians and shop teams during development activities
Resolve engineering issues through mechanical analysis CAE and structured problem-solving
Respond to ECRs manufacturing questions and product improvement requests
Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing validation program management and customer teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Automotive Engineering or related field
3 years of engineering design experience
Strong background in vehicle systems or product design
Experience with full vehicle architecture and system interaction
Proficiency in Creo CAD
Experience with ANSYS or equivalent FEA tools
Hands-on knowledge of Windchill PLM
Strong skills in:
GD&T / ASME Y14.5
Drawing release and detailing
Sheet metal design
Structural component design
Design for manufacturability
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Project)
