Assabet Valley Collaborative (AVC) is an educational service agency in Metrowest/Central Massachusetts. Our services include school programs wraparound services transportation services professional development cooperative purchasing and consulting.
We are looking for a school psychologist who serves as a leader and as a learner; a team member who is flexible resourceful and thrives in a fast-paced non-traditional collaborative environment and who understands educational and human service institutions. This person demonstrates a learning mindset and ability to receive feedback self-reflect and adapt as well as an ability to effectively facilitate the learning of others by pushing their thinking building their skills and sparking their self-reflection and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with students families and staff to conduct comprehensive evaluations including psycho-educational academic social-emotional and risk assessments
Use assessment data to identify student strengths and needs and to guide equitable student-centered recommendations
Prepare clear meaningful evaluation reports that inform team decision-making
Participate in IEP and assessment meetings sharing insights in a collaborative and accessible way
Partner with educators families and service providers to support student growth and access to learning
Provide consultation and attend staff meetings to staff to strengthen supports for students across settings
Observe students and collect data to develop conclusions and recommendations
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all applicable regulations and AVC procedures
Qualifications
MA DESE School Psychologist License
Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) or PsyD in School Psychology
Commitment to educational equity and inclusive student-centered practices
Strong collaboration communication and reflective practice skills
