The Opportunity
We are seeking an experiencedPreconstruction Manager to lead the preconstruction process from project pursuit through the start of construction. This is a highimpact clientfacing leadership role that plays a critical part in winning work setting projects up for success and helping establish Hagermans longterm presence in the Louisville market.
This role is ideal for a construction professional who enjoys strategic thinking collaboration mentorship and being at the table earlywhere smart planning makes all the difference.
What Youll Do
- Lead pursuit strategies RFP responses and client interviews
- Own the preconstruction process from concept through handoff to operations
- Oversee design coordination estimating procurement strategies and early trade partner involvement
- Develop conceptual budgets and detailed estimates while tracking cost trends and market conditions
- Collaborate closely with Estimating Operations Safety and Purchasing to align scope schedules logistics and procurement plans
- Provide valueadded input on cost constructability and means and methods
- Lead and develop preconstruction team members while ensuring a smooth transition into construction
What Were Looking For
- 10 years of progressive construction experience including customerfacing leadership roles
- Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to lead teams and influence outcomes
- Deep understanding of preconstruction design coordination and estimating processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Procore (preferred) and CMiC (preferred)
- Working knowledge of design and engineering disciplines
- Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
