AI Engineer

The AI Engineer is responsible for designing building and deploying AI and machine learning solutions that enhance Cielos products analytics capabilities and automation strategy. This role leads the development of scalable AI models integrates advanced techniques such as LLMs and RAG and partners across Product Innovation Technology and Data Engineering to support enterprise-wide AI adoption. The AI Engineer provides technical leadership contributes to AI strategy execution and ensures that AI solutions are performant secure compliant and aligned with business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilitie:

• Provide technical direction architectural guidance and oversight for AI and ML solution development.
  Review code design documents pipelines and technical specifications to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies frameworks and methodologies; evaluate potential application to business needs.
• Establish technical standards development guidelines and quality assurance processes for AI development.
• Translate business requirements into technical implementation strategies and scalable architectures.
• Partner with engineering product and business leaders to define and execute the organizations AI strategy.
• Lead development of advanced AI solutions including:
  • API endpoints that serve as secure scalable gateways to enterprise data.
  • LLM tools built using API endpoints and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
  • Generative AI applications such as summarization sentiment analysis and content generation.
  • Agentic AI systems that automate workflows and drive headcount optimization.
• Oversee implementation of applied AI techniques such as prompt engineering retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) NL2SQL vector search embeddings and fine-tuning.
• Ensure AI solutions are scalable maintainable and aligned with business objectives.
• Lead POCs and pilots validate feasibility and scale successful models into production.
• Design train and deploy machine learning and AI models including NLP LLMs predictive modeling and generative models.
• Build and optimize data pipelines used for feature extraction training and inference.
• Develop and maintain AI services APIs and microservices that integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Monitor model performance execute tuning and retraining and manage the full model lifecycle.
• Document model architecture training data feature engineering and operational processes for consistency and governance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Position Requirements

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Engineering Mathematics or related field required.
• Masters degree preferred.

Experience:

• 35 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying ML/AI models in production.
• Experience with LLMs NLP generative AI and model integration using APIs.
• Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow PyTorch Hugging Face and scikit-learn.
• Experience with RAG pipelines embeddings vector databases and prompt engineering.
• Experience with cloud AI platforms (AWS SageMaker Azure ML GCP Vertex AI).
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured and unstructured data.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices preferred including CI/CD for ML model monitoring and feature stores.

Exposure:

• Understanding of responsible AI frameworks bias detection and model governance.
• Experience with data engineering concepts and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Word Excel PowerPoint Visio Outlook and related tools.
