The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $120000 - $140000 CAD at the time of posting. Finalcompensation will be determined by various factors such as work location educationexperience knowledge and skills

Project Initiation / Integration:

• Lead the initiation and planning of highly complex strategic projects defining project scope objectives and deliverables in alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives.

• Develop comprehensive project plans that encompass all necessary activities resources and timelines utilizing advanced project management techniques and tools.

• Establish and maintain project governance structures ensuring clear roles responsibilities and decision-making processes.

• Develop business cases and project charters securing stakeholder buy-in and alignment.

Project Schedule and Resource Management:

• Lead and motivate high-performing project teams fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment mentoring project team members on project management best practices.

• Develop and implement resource management plans ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of project resources across multiple projects.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive integrated project plan using standard tools and methods that align with contractual requirements.

• Manage dependencies between project tasks and activities ensuring seamless integration and timely completion.

• Monitor project progress identify critical path activities and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules and budgets.

Stakeholder and Communication Management:

• Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans ensuring effective and timely communication with all stakeholders.

• Manage stakeholder expectations proactively addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.

• Provide regular project status reports to stakeholders highlighting progress risks and issues.

• Facilitate project meetings providing strategic guidance and decision support.

Negotiations and Contract Management:

• Support negotiation of complex contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers ensuring favorable terms and conditions.

• Manage vendor performance monitoring adherence to contractual obligations and resolving any issues or disputes.

• Develop and implement contract management plans ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Manage change orders and contract modifications ensuring proper documentation and approval processes.

Cost and Financial Management:

• Develop and manage complex project budgets ensuring adherence to approved funding levels.

• Track project expenses analyze variances and implement corrective actions to maintain budget compliance.

• Develop and implement cost control measures maximizing project value and minimizing waste.

• Forecast project costs and resource needs supporting accurate budgeting and financial planning.

• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and executive leadership.

Risk Mgt & Problem Solving

• Identify assess and manage project risks and issues developing and implementing mitigation strategies.

• Proactively identify potential problems and develop contingency plans to minimize impact on project deliverables.

• Lead complex problem-solving efforts facilitating collaborative solutions and ensuring timely resolution of issues.

• Escalate critical risks and issues to senior management as appropriate providing recommendations for resolution.

• Expert knowledge of project management methodologies.

• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams and stakeholders.

• Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels including executive leadership.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex project issues.

• Proficiency in using project management software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project Smartsheet Jira etc.).

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

• Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.

• Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to project challenges.

• Proven ability to mentor and coach project managers and other team members.

• Deep understanding of organizational governance and decision-making processes.

• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in project management.

• Proven track record of successfully managing highly complex strategic and cross-functional projects with significant organizational impact.

• Experience leading and motivating high-performing project teams.

• Experience managing project budgets and financial performance.

• Experience negotiating complex contracts and managing vendor relationships.

• Experience managing project risks and issues.

• Experience with project management methodologies.

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Project Management Engineering Computer Science Business Administration). Masters preferred.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired.

• Relevant project management experience may be substituted for a degree.

• Works independently with minimal supervision. Provides guidance and mentorship to Project Managers Project Practitioners and Associate Project Managers.

• Internal: All Project Stakeholders including senior management and executive leadership.

• External: Interacts with external vendors consultants and clients independently managing those relationships within the scope of assigned projects. Serves as a key point of contact for external project-related inquiries and represents the organization in external forums.

• Travel: Up to 40% travel may be required to support project execution.
