Summary

We require a skilled Physiotherapist to provide rehabilitation and ADP assessment services to Residents. You will also be responsible for providing recommendations and equipment prescription for Residents including serving as a resource and educator to the Homes staff and Residents/Families regarding equipment recommendations. Key Responsibilities

• Implement monitor and modify equipment to achieve Resident/Family goals in the areas of seating and positioning equipment use and safety and strategies to improve function
• Provide in-house staff education sessions on topics such as adaptive equipment and ergonomic set-up for staff injury prevention as required

Qualifications

• Registrant in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Completion of satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) upon hire
• Up-to-date on required vaccinations including influenza vaccine (or commitment to take anti-viral medications in case of an outbreak) MMR DTaP varicella and TB skin test
• Knowledge/experience in evidence-based musculoskeletal and neurological practice with a strong emphasis on functional outcomes
• Superior communication and clinical reasoning skills
• Caring and compassionate in all interactions with Residents and Families
