Role description:

Junior Construction Administrator to supports the administration and delivery of construction contracts assisting with inspection documentation compliance monitoring and coordination activities. This role is intended as a developmental position to build experience toward a full Contract Administrator role.

Role accountabilities:

Contract Administration Support

Assist in administering construction contracts under the direction of the Contract Administrator.

Support the review of RFIs change orders and contractor submissions.

Assist in monitoring compliance with contract terms specifications and operational constraints.

Inspection and Quality Assurance

Assist with site inspections to verify that construction activities comply with drawings specifications and applicable standards.

Monitor contractor workmanship and adherence to OPSS OPSD MTO specifications and safety regulations.

Support equipment verification and coordinate testing activities (e.g. VMS CCTV NITS).

Support analysis of contractor schedules and progress updates.

Documentation and Reporting and Coordination

Prepare daily inspection reports logs and photographic documentation.

Maintain project records including quantities test results and correspondence.

Assist in coordinating with contractors consultants and stakeholders.

Support responses to technical inquiries and participate in site meetings as required.

Document control and filing.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma in Civil or Electrical engineering.

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to interpret drawings and specifications

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
