Corporate Accounting Analyst

Reporting to the Manager Corporate Accounting Services the Corporate Accounting Analyst will be primarily responsible for application of cash receipt to accounts receivable as well as preparation of general ledger account reconciliations under different timelines. They will also ensure information is processed accurately and in a timely manner. This position will also help with the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
Process and apply cash receipts to customer accounts accurately and in a timely manner ensuring the integrity of accounts receivable records.
Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial processes.
Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations and working papers for monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements.
Prepare routine journal entries ensuring compliance with accounting standards policies and internal controls.
Support system compliance and testing activities including documentation validation and issue follow-up as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Undergraduate degree or Diploma in Business Accounting or a combination of equivalent skills and experience.
Experience processing cash receipts application amongst multiple entities considered an asset.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to accuracy accountability and continuous improvement.
Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across various departments and stakeholders.
Ability to manage a large volume of work and can consistently meet deadlines while ensuring high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
Well-developed analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions.
