As we continue to scale rapidly we are investing in a highperformance finance function to support our growth and longterm ambitions. We are seeking a Controller who is eager to grow beyond traditional accounting and play a key role in a highgrowth entrepreneurial environment. Reporting directly to a seasoned CFO you will lead a team of three and gain meaningful exposure to investor reporting M&A tax planning and financial systems architecture. This role is ideal for a rising leader from public accounting or an experienced industry professional looking to help build the financial backbone of a categorydefining company.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
Lead and oversee all day-to-day accounting operations including AP AR payroll and general ledger
Own the monthly close process and produce accurate and timely financial statements
Drive continuous improvement in processes policies and internal controls
Manage cash flow bank reconciliations and working capital reporting
Oversee tax compliance and support external filings with advisors
Prepare audit-ready financials and support reviews or full audits (as applicable)
Build scalable systems and documentation as we grow across borders
Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis with department leads
Partner with operational teams (production fulfillment eCommerce) to align on financial best practices
Mentor and develop a small but growing accounting team
Help drive ERP optimization (Business Central) and other system implementations
Jump into special projects from inventory costing models to capital raise prep
WHAT YOU BRING
CPA designation required.
5 years of progressive accounting experience ideally including leadership responsibilities
Experience in manufacturing distribution eCommerce or multi-entity environments is a plus
Strong understanding of Canadian tax accounting standards and internal controls
Proven ability to develop lead and scale accounting teams and systems
Highly organized detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
A natural problem solver who sees around corners and thrives on continuous improvement
Ambitious and humble someone who wants to grow while helping others grow too
