Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to join our Health Care this vital role the successful candidate will perform diagnostic and interventional procedures to evaluate and treat patients with heart and vascular conditions. This position is crucial for ensuring accurate patient assessments and supporting the medical team in delivering high-quality cardiovascular care. The ideal professional will possess a blend of technical expertise and compassionate patient interaction skills operating within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cardiac diagnostic tests including electrocardiograms (ECGs) stress tests and Holter monitoring to assess heart function.
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures such as cardiac catheterizations angioplasty and stent placements by preparing equipment and monitoring patient vitals.
- Maintain and calibrate specialized medical instrumentation to ensure precision and safety during all patient examinations.
- Document all procedural findings and test results accurately within the electronic health record system for immediate review by the medical staff.
- Educate patients on pre-procedure preparations and post-procedure care instructions to promote recovery and understanding.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and radiation safety guidelines to protect both patients and staff.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on clinical experience in cardiovascular technology or a related medical field.
- Professional certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist (e.g. RCVT or CCI) is required.
- Proficiency in operating advanced cardiac diagnostic equipment and interpreting basic rhythm strips.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy physiology and pharmacology relevant to cardiovascular procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical concepts to patients and their families clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team under pressure.
