Who we are

Our central role includes managing the provincial power grid in real-time overseeing and evolving Ontarios electricity market engaging with government municipalities and Indigenous communities and planning for Ontarios future electricity needs. Our employees play a key role in driving grid innovation protecting the system from threats advancing the provinces energy conservation programs and forecasting and procuring the electricity resources well need in the decades to come.

This is a unionized position that falls within the Portfolio Excellence department in the Demand Side Management division within Power System Development.

As an Analyst Central Services you will play a vital role in supporting the contracts procurement settlements and financial operations that enable the successful delivery of Ontarios energy conservation and demand-side management initiatives. Combining analytical expertise operational excellence and collaborative problem-solving you will help drive value accountability and continuous improvement across a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.


What youll do

In this role youll make a meaningful impact by contributing to the IESO team and supporting the electricity needs of the province through:

Leadership
Provide support and guidance to Central Services team members.
Recommend and support process improvements to increase efficiency and ratepayer value.
Maintain awareness of current and future Demand Side Management (DSM) activities and collaborate across teams to implement enhancements.
Demonstrate IESO values and DSM culture through a positive flexible high-performance approach and strong working relationships.


Technical
Support settlement procurement contract management and related administrative activities including tracking contract milestones performing account reconciliations quarterly forecasts and reporting.
Provide contract management support and expertise and support the development and maintenance of DSM procurement plans.
Administer contract records official communications and documentation in accordance with established processes.
Support projects operational processes inquiries issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement contracts and settlements.
Prepare reports presentations approvals summaries and other documentation as required.
Ensure compliance with all applicable IESO policies and procedures.


Financial
Monitor contract compliance spending budget commitments and settlements to ensure alignment with approved plans and budgets.
Support financial reporting variance analysis audits and the maintenance of accurate budget and settlement records.
Process invoice payments and purchase orders in accordance with contract terms and applicable systems.
Support access to financial information budget management activities and the enhancement of related tools and systems.
Review and apply contract terms policies and procedures when evaluating amendments and negotiations.


Customer Focus
Deliver customer-focused contract administration by consistently and fairly applying contract terms and requirements.
Address contract and payment concerns promptly while fostering positive relationships with counterparties partners and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with Procurement Legal Finance and IT teams to meet contractual financial and information needs in a timely and professional manner.
Adhere to internal customer service policies.


Perform other duties as required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; Tableau experience is considered an asset.
Proven ability to build effective working relationships collaborate with others and incorporate team input.
