Network Engineer | Bulgaria | Remote

Sutherland is seeking a qualified Network Engineer to join our Bulgaria team! If you have deep enterprise network engineering experience we want to hear from you!

In this role youll get to:

Network Engineering & Architecture

• Design implement and support enterprise LAN WAN WLAN SD-WAN and cloud networking solutions.

• Develop and maintain network architecture standards diagrams and technical documentation.

• Evaluate and recommend network technologies hardware and software solutions.

• Lead network upgrades migrations and modernization initiatives.

Operations & Support

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex network incidents and outages.

• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.

• Ensure network availability performance and reliability through proactive monitoring and maintenance.

• Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as required.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain network security controls including firewalls VPNs NAC segmentation and secure remote access.

• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.

• Support compliance audit and risk management requirements.

• Maintain network security standards and best practices.

Cloud & Infrastructure Integration

• Design and support connectivity to Azure AWS GCP and OCI.

• Integrate network services with enterprise infrastructure platforms.

• Support hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud networking architectures.

• Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions where appropriate.

Project Leadership

• Lead technical aspects of network-related projects from planning through implementation.

• Coordinate with vendors service providers and internal stakeholders.

• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the team.

• Develop project plans implementation procedures and testing strategies.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience.

• 7 years of enterprise network engineering experience.

• Advanced knowledge of routing switching wireless networking and network security technologies.

• Experience with Cisco Palo Alto F5 or similar enterprise platforms.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Experience supporting large-scale and mission-critical environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco CCNP or equivalent certification.

• Experience with Cloud networking.

• Experience with SD-WAN and network automation technologies.

• Knowledge of scripting and automation using Python PowerShell Terraform or Ansible.

• Industry certifications such as CCIE CISSP Azure Network Engineer Associate or AWS Advanced Networking Specialty.
