NextLink Solutions is seeking a Sr. PostgreSQL Specialist for a 7-month contract to support a strategic large-scale database modernization initiative in Bruxelles Belgium. This role is central to the enterprises mission-critical transformation where PostgreSQL on Azure has been selected as the future-proof platform for a high-availability.
Within a large-scale enterprise IT environment more than 150 IT professionals work in a bilingual setting (Dutch/French) to support and evolve a critical application landscape. The department operates according to Agile (Scrum) methodologies and manages a broad ecosystem centered around a mission-critical database layer.
As part of a multi-year database modernization strategy PostgreSQL on Azure has been selected as the strategic target platform.
To support this transformation we are looking for a Senior PostgreSQL Specialist who will play a key role in the technical migration journey team enablement and the establishment of a sustainable PostgreSQL operating model.
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in database administration database engineering or database architecture roles.
At least 5 years of dedicated experience working with PostgreSQL in production environments.
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and managing database solutions within Microsoft Azure environments.
Required Skills:
Linux System Administration (RHEL / Ubuntu) and shell scripting (Bash Python) 5 years PostgreSQL Administration (v14 and higher) including tuning vacuum and partitioning 5 years Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server (deployment HA networking security) 1 year
